Abbington provided a loving HOME for my sister who was blind. The facility, staff, professionalism of care, and attention to details with her special needs was so appreciated. We truly know that my sister considered all at Abbington to be her extended, loving family. Thank you Abbington for the love you gave to her.

My dad is 88 and has been living by himself for 10 years. Recently he started having mobility issues. I called around and only Abington of Powell was giving me concrete answers. We went for a tour and we’re really impressed by their service. My dad moved in 10 days after his troubles started. He has been doing well. We are all very happy with everything Abington is doing. Thank you Abbington.

I was stuck in a very hard situation not too long ago. I was in a rush to find a reliable, honest and clean facility for my grandmother- and Abbington of Powell Is just that place! Kim, Jodie and Katie did everything to help ease my mind when we were going through this transition. The facility is very well maintained! The Staff is more than helpful with residents (as I’ve witnessed multiple times while visiting). And most importantly, every staff member is quick to greet you with a smile and make sure you are satisfied with any needs pertaining to your loved one. I am beyond grateful for the compassion and hard work that Abbington of Powell has provided. If you are looking for a home away from home for your loved one- Abbington of Powell is the destination.

My husband, who’s Hispanic, went for a job interview here today. As soon as he walked in, the hiring manager, Katie, had already hit him with the, “I’m doing other job interviews and I will be in touch with you.” So that was a NO. I called to ask her if she already made her decision about him. She told me she could not answer that. Then I said okay, that must be a no then, probably because you looked at him and decided no based on the color of his skin. She hung up. I called back and I told her I would be filing a discrimination complaint. She hung up again. I know it’s not my husband’s experience, education, or demeanor because my husband actually RECORDED his interview with Katie and she didn’t even ask him any questions. My husband was personable and polite. She hardly said a word. Only “I will be in touch.” He has several years and is almost OVER qualified for the position. So, long story short, if you’re Black or Hispanic, know that YOU WILL be discriminated against.

My mom really liked it there. The staff was extremely helpful, patient, and friendly. I felt very comfortable that she was safe and happy.
