My mother is in memory care and she has been treated as if she is their family. We love the staff and how much they love the residents. The facility is very clean and all the staff are very friendly. My mom is with the hospice team now and she has been taken care of to stay comfortable. We appreciate all the staff and support we get. Highly recommend this facility!

Visited my Aunt over the holidays in the memory ward. Could not stay in her room - it was filthy and smelled strongly of urine at each of the visits over several weeks. She was bleeding, and we had to bring it to their attention on one visit. On all visits there were only two people attending the ward one in the kitchen/dining area and the other in the TV room area. On several occasions my family have visited only to find her dirty and wet. Also, there is no way to contact her, because the cell phone keeps disappearing, and when the desk is called, they do not get her. Why they don't have landlines in each room I do not understand.

As a nurse, I did alot of homework before I chose this place. My mom was here for almost 4 months. On the positive side, they moved heaven and earth to get my mom in and help us out with furniture since she was coming from a bad situation in Florida. The people were very kind. On the negative, they promised WAY more than they could deliver. My mom has Parkinson's disease. They PROMISED that someone would always be available to get her to the bathroom and tend to her needs. They PROMISED she would get her meds on time, which is very important for PD patients. These promises were rarely met. It was normal for her to wait 2+ hours for someone to take her to the bathroom. Sometimes, literally noone would show up and she would soil herself. Staff would blame it on the alert button that they provided. Or that she should phone the front desk instead(which she regularly did). It took about 2 months for her to get her meds on time. Still, unacceptable. Period. We paid ALOT of money for my mom to be ignored and forgotten. For folks who live there that are independent and mobile, I'm sure it is great. If you are not mobile, please don't go here. I spoke to the director probably every other week, asking for people to be more vigilant with taking care of my mom and getting her to the bathroom but it just didn't happen. I ended up doing a large portion of what we were paying them to do myself, before and after I went to work. I reported them to the Ohio Department of Aging because of their unsafe practices. I have so much more that I want to say about this place, but I just won't because there are some very lovely people who work here and they tried really hard to make things bearable. As a medical professional, I will just say that if you have a loved one who is medically fragile in any way, please pick somewhere else.

My mother has been living in the Glen memory care unit at Parkside Village for the past 3-1/2 years. The level of care has increased as she has declined and the staff takes such good care of her. When I am not there, I know she is in good hands. Her room is large, with a big window that lets in a lot of light and there is plenty of space for everything mom needs. From Day 1 we were welcomed like family - and the staff's care and commitment is superb. I highly recommend Parkside Village Senior Living!

Having my parents at Parkside Village was a great experience! While we were dealing with very difficult issues, the staff was very supportive and understanding. They went above and beyond! The building and grounds are beautiful, my Mom's and Dad's apartments were roomy and comfortable, but the most impressive part of our time at Parkside was the support from all the staff!! I will always be grateful for the care my folks and family experienced while my parents lived at Parkside!!
